Meet the Team
Lauren NeifferAfter over 15 years in the dental field as a clinical assistant, working in a lab, and helping to manage a large practice, I'm thankful to have found a home here with the Pickens team. I have always felt called to serve others and appreciate the opportunities I've been given to do so through dentistry. My family says my smile is way too big to keep to myself, so a dental office is the perfect place for me to share it. Working together with everyone here at the Pickens practice and helping patients get the most out of their dental health, every day makes it really easy for me to do.
I grew up right here in Vancouver, and I love everything the Northwest has to offer. When I'm not at work, you might find my husband, two kids, and I helping out at his family's farm in Eastern Oregon, hanging out at CrossFit Fort Vancouver, hiking around a national forest, or yelling fore on the golf course. Feel free to ask anytime about our next adventure!
Shannon Vasko | HIPAA OfficerI left behind (but fondly remember) 11 years as a veterinary technician, and in 2004 I began my adventures with the Pickens Family Dentistry team, formerly known as Stryker Dental. When it comes to co-workers, I won the lottery. We have a great group of people deeply committed to health, patient care, and personal growth. Most often, I can be found behind the scenes, assisting with patient scheduling, insurance, and billing needs.
My days away from the office are filled with family and friends. I have teenagers now, so most of my time is spent at soccer games, music lessons, and watching them grow up to be amazing people. When my husband and I get a little down time, we enjoy cooking, home remodeling (ha ha), and hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Cherri BetcherI love helping people with their dental health. I especially like the friendships that are built within a small practice, both with patients and those I work with.
Since becoming a Certified Dental Assistant in 1987, I have had the opportunity to work in Periodontics as well as Pediatrics. I joined the Pickens dental team in July of 2004. Being in a General Practice gives me the unique opportunity to use my skills to serve patients in all stages of their dental health.
My husband Dave and I have been married since 1996. We have two wonderful boys, Tyler and Riley. Outside of the office, I love being involved with my boy’s sports (you name it, they play it). I also enjoy taking walks, exercising and spending time with my family.
Jamie StumperI graduated from the Clark College Dental Hygiene program in 2007 and have since worked as a hygienist in the Vancouver area. I enjoy working with such a caring and family-oriented team of professionals at Pickens Family Dentistry. As a child I learned that an attractive smile makes a positive first impression and has a powerful influence on a person's self-confidence. My interest to help patients achieve the benefits of a great smile guided me to become a dental hygienist.
Education is key to helping patients achieve and maintain good oral health which significantly impacts our overall health and well-being. I strive to partner with patients at Pickens Family Dentistry as they learn to address their oral health needs and concerns.
I was born and raised in the Vancouver area and have lived in Woodland, WA since 2001. I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter and our German Shepard. In my free time, I help out with my husband's business and volunteer at my daughter's school and through free dental clinics. For fun, we enjoy adventuring in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest through kayaking, hiking, fishing, snowshoeing and riding four-wheelers.
Rona MartellAs a dental hygienist, I always strive to provide the highest level of care for all my patients. I believe the collaborative relationships between me and the patient are the foundation for successful treatment and dental health. I love getting to meet new people each day, and really enjoy working with patients of all ages!
I graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2009 with my Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene and found my dental home at the Pickens’s practice in July 2011. I chose to pursue dental hygiene because of my love of working with people, science, and working with my hands. I strive to make each dental visit comfortable by being gentle, but thorough, and getting to know each patient’s specific needs and helping meet those needs individually. I like to work with patients on preventing disease and also creating custom treatment plans to treat and maintain oral diseases. I love that we have the newest technologies available and practice the newest research in our office, this creates a fun and exciting work environment that I look forward to being a part of every day.
I have been Clark County, Washington born and raised, and live locally on property. My husband and I were married in 2009 on the beach in Cannon Beach, which is somewhere we enjoy visiting. I have a step-son and daughter who keep our family busy with school, band, soccer, and dance. We also enjoy boating and fishing, our chickens, hiking, and yard projects.
Leanne Conzatti | WISHA OfficerI love meeting new people and getting to know them. My goal as a hygienist is to truly listen, care for, and meet the needs of our patients to the best of my ability. I enjoy learning new things in the dental field, and sharing that information to work alongside people to help create and reach the goals they have for their oral health.
I graduated from the Clark College Dental Hygiene program in 2012 and met the Pickens team the following spring. I am excited to become part of such a fun and encouraging group of professionals at work. If I haven’t met you yet, I look forward to doing so!
Vancouver has been home my whole life and I really enjoy living here in the Northwest. I love being active and take any chance I can get outside to run, bike, hike, or play a sport. I completed my first full marathon in October 2014!
Susan EdwardsMy twenty-three-plus years of dental experience has blessed me a workplace with the same moral, ethical, and loving family values that led me into dental assisting many years ago. The care and comfort of patients will always be a priority for me.
Dentistry and dental care is much more than just fixing teeth. It is about the overall health and well-being of our patients. The combined education, skills and experiences of our entire team together is what makes our home your home.
My wonderful husband Brian and I have 6 fabulous children that make our live whole and busy! We enjoy our time together at all the kids sporting events, the beach, the mountains, camping, recently entering running events and, when we get a chance, a quiet lazy Sunday on the couch watching NASCAR.
Christy QuinnMy life has been dedicated to dentistry in more ways than one. I grew up around a dental office and began my dental career as a dental assistant in 1977. I pursued dental hygiene in 1983 and truly fell in love with connecting with patients, staff, and learning about myself in the process. My commitment to helping patients get healthier has been my passion since joining the Pickens practice many moons ago. And then life threw me a curve ball in 2012. I suffered a spinal cord injury and was paralyzed, suddenly ending my career as a dental hygienist. I now have the pleasure of experiencing a new area of the dental office and have joined the administrative side of the Pickens practice. I think I have gone full circle now in dentistry, with the exception of the Dr. part!
Outside of the dental practice, I am adjusting to life as a “walking quadriplegic”. I am relearning to walk and taking life at a much slower pace. I am truly blessed by my family, as they are more than supportive, generous, and kind in every way one could imagine. It is such a joy to continue working with the Pickens incredibly dedicated staff while also loving and being part of the patients lives as well. I am thankful for each and every moment.
